Giant donut dreams
The giant donut hangs above Sonido on Gertrude St. When I saw it, I dreamed of a swimming pool big enough to float a giant donut, for summer, and, well…so many other things. Thinking like this made me happy and sad and hopeful, all at the same time. Thank you giant donut…

Just got home after a long, cold day to find this zine in my mailbox. Be Free only made 50 copies, so I’m extra thrilled to have one. Cinerarium is moving from 303 – and Northcote! 2015 screenings will be happening The Wilde Bar in Fitzroy. The 86 tram stops right out the front, so it’s still easy to get to. To attend screenings this year you need to have a membership, which can be yours for just $15. Get on it!

Pop Up Scroll is a welcome addition to the Gertrude end of Smith Street. Scrolls with a brioche/croissant base, baked on premises, in seriously gorgeous flavours. Great coffee (Coffee Supreme beans and a sexy La Marzocco machine), friendly service and sweet retro style fitout.
