Just take a look at this risque cover art, an excellent present from Kymbo…Sadly, the record isn’t inside.
Max Miller was an English comedy legend during the 30’s-50’s. Master of the double entendre, he spent many years on the variety theatre circuit. This outfit, with diamond rings, white trilby, and kipper tie was his trademark. The BBC banned him several times for working “too blue” for radio – one ban lasting 5 years! He also appeared in 14 films in the 30’s-40’s, using much cleaner material. Maxie always offered his audience jokes from the respectable (white) or the dirty (blue) book – they always chose the blue one. To borrow a few of his catchphrases “that’s nice Maxie, you can’t help liking him”

…And yes, if you’re wondering, that’s no hat – it’s her own hair.
Damn… he beat me to it… And I think they would have changed it to “Dirty Bastard” instead of “Cheeky Chappie”
Next time, maybe….
Apparently his lady gave him the nick-name
There was a rapper called Ol’ Dirty Bastard (Wu-Tang Clan?), but he’s been dead a few years now – call yerself DB before someone else get dibs on the name, I reckon…
