the mercy seat – scrambled pesto eggs

The Mercy Seat is a brand spanking new (opened last Friday?) all day breakfast/lunch spot, situated at 99 Problems. So, if you’re hungry and on Johnston St, check these folks out…

My pesto eggs were light, subtly flavoured, and sprinkled with parmesan. On great toast. Looking forward to trying the mushroom burger or the philly cheese roll next time, as well as some delicious looking cakes.

Padre coffee, great music, relaxed vibe – and named after a Nick Cave song. What’s not to like? All food is vegetarian/vegan, but when it’s this good, who cares?

Currently open Wednesday – Sunday, 8am – 4pm. Find The Mercy Seat at 31 Johnston Street, Collingwood.

About Vetti

I love good coffee, street art, tiki bars and kitsch. Adore roller derby and quiffs and vintage Hawaiian shirts. Enjoy a slice of my northside life!
