Behold the Sparkletron! Elizabeth St, Melbourne.
Jim Jimaggio’s vibrant artworks depict Melbourne buildings, cars, bicycles and the iPhone in a fresh and energetic way. Modern life looks fast, slick and very stylish in this show. Printed in editions of 5-10 using a process (of his own invention – Jim is a self-taught artist) called Volyfoamoir Stamp, this is bold, very affordable art. Zamviza Citizen opened on August 9, upstairs at Off The Kerb Gallery. On display until August 23.
If I was in San Francisco right now, I’d be checking this out….Amusement is the new solo show from Skewville – a world of carnival delights, old signage, typography and found objects. There’s even a bicycle powered merry go round! Looks like one damn fine installation…On at White Walls until May 4.
