sam yong : unnatural selection @ off the kerb gallery

Sam Yong’s debut solo show is well worth a look. ‘Unnatural Selection’ features a series of incredibly detailed graphite and coloured pencil illustrations. From the exhibition media

Flora and fauna intertwining with one another; reflecting on the complex relationships between living things in nature and how they affect each other. Artistic elements of tension, unfamiliarity and unease are illustrated in Unnatural Selection, where nature and predators who have never met are placed together to bring emotional human involvement.

‘Unnatural Selection’ opened at Off The Kerb Gallery on November 1, and runs til November 15. You can also find Sam Yong on tumblr, facebook and instagram.
