drunken taxicabs of absolute reality : howl @ northcote town hall

Pianist/composer Darrin Archer (winner of 2013 APRA Composer Commission Award for Drunken Taxicabs of Absolute Reality : Howl to Music) premieres his improv jazz piece in Northcote this month. Appearing with Sam Zerner, Danny Fischer, Luke Moller, Gideon Brazil, Julien Wilson, and Pat Thiele, he aims to evoke the Beat ethos as soundscape. Ginsberg’s Howl will be performed by Maxine Beneba Clarke. May 5, as part of Melbourne Jazz Fringe Festival. Tickets from Northcote Town Hall.
