Enter the SoundLabyrinth, Mark Pedersen’s immersive spatialisation work. Experience the transcendent, connect and discover, within a shrouded geodesic dome. Walk the labyrinth (modelled on Chartres Cathedral’s). Find SoundLabyrinth at the VCA Student Gallery, gate 4, Dodds St, Southbank. 10-5, April 23-7. The exhibition opening and album launch (The Dot Below the Ba) is at 6pm on Tuesday 23rd, featuring poetry by Alice Melike Ulgezer and sound by Mark Pedersen. From the exhibition media

“SoundLabyrinth is an immersive audio/visual event exploring the relationship between sound and the body. Set within a 6m geodesic dome, SoundLabyrinth invites you to explore distant lands, lost memories and inner worlds through sound and motion. Featuring spoken word by Alice Melike Ulgezer, Nazid Kimmie, Jameela Nishat, and field recordings from Australia, India, Indonesia, Oman and Morocco, SoundLabyrinth is an audio/visual journey like no other.”
