neon natives – reko rennie

I love Reko Rennie’s work (remember the pink kangaroo in Hosier Lane?), and was excited to find this one in Cocker Alley last week.

Neon Natives is part of Melbourne Laneway Commissions, which was set up to promote enjoyment of Melbourne public space, via encounters with contemporary art. The 2011 program is a showcase for nine artists, all of whom are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.

About Vetti

I love good coffee, street art, tiki bars and kitsch. Adore roller derby and quiffs and vintage Hawaiian shirts. Enjoy a slice of my northside life!
