more control, more excuses

Metlink isn’t in my good books right now. Trains not turning up, or, when they finally do, not going where they were supposed to.

I can go weeks without having my ticket checked, and then have five or six groups ask to see my ticket in the space of a single journey.

Don’t get me started on myki, overcrowding, or buses not running on Sundays…

I saw this billboard makeover in Northcote recently, and felt like applauding.

About Vetti

I love good coffee, street art, tiki bars and kitsch. Adore roller derby and quiffs and vintage Hawaiian shirts. Enjoy a slice of my northside life!

  1. Agreed. On Mondays I rely on a 10-minute delay so two of my trains link up. While this works for me, I love the fact there’s no announcement about the delay so people just stand there looking confused.

    Haha, that’s gold!

mappingthepeace: There’s a lot of confusion out there. Most days I get at least 5-10 people asking me what’s going on as I wait at the station/tram stop/am tramming somewhere…

Jenny: I’m suprised all the billboards in town don’t look like this one…

    flerdle: Indeed 😦
