That finally gives me an explanation for the knitted-over street post near my old house on a small backstreet in Brunswick… I could never quite understand why someone had decided to give the post a colourful little outfit. Now it all makes sense – the post had been yarn bombed!
Anna: LOVING the bike – pity I didn’t note down the email address attached to it, would like to get in touch with the maker. There’s lots of yarnbombing/guerilla knitting in Melbs these days 🙂
I spent a few months crocheting Pearly after finding her on the street, tyres flat, paintwork chipped, handles had been loved off in happier times. I took her home to escape the Hard Rubbish Truck. I bathed her and clothed her and took her out to sidewalk cafes and bike racks in my home town. She loves peoplewatching, so she was in her element on Saturday at Fed Square. So many people stopped and made a fuss of her. I had promised her a day in the square for a long time now, and she loved it.
WOAH!

That bike up the top is totally amazing.
