backstreet blues – today in collingwood

I don’t know why, but I go through phases of noticing particular colours or types of objects. For a long time, it was birds, now it’s the colour blue. Here’s a few things that caught my eye this morning…

  1. That blue whale on the brick wall looks fricken awesome! I love blue and red brick together. One of my favourite things ever is red brick against blue sky.

Kitten of Doom: Love that whale! Wanted to take some beter pics, but couldn’t find anything to stand on 😦 I like the brick wall/sky combo too…

I get that too…then i start reading into it as some kind of sign, haha.I was seeing crows everywhere for a while there. Lately i’ve been noticing the word “punk” everywhere (?). Strange! Or maybe it’s a popular word at the moment? It’s the universe telling me to get a mowhawk, i know it.But seriously, it must be something in the subconscious mind that suddenly draws us to certain images for some reason or other. At least i like to think so!

bon: I’m liking it…Don’t know why it happens, but I’m ok with that 🙂

  5. I’m loving the can-eyes, and the great bit of street art in the background. So much good stuff to look at, so glad you are doing some of the looking for us.

Once when I was on the tram I saw a bit of graffiti on the very tip top of a three storey building that said ‘ you are too observant.’

littlebikeblog: Thanks! The can sculpture is by Junky Projects, the background piece is some of the remaining art from Per Square Metre. Pleased you are enjoying as much as I am!

Love that! Can you remember where the “observant” piece was?
