algernon charles

I am guessing this is Algernon Charles Swinburne, decadent poet, inventor of the roundel form, and pal of the Pre-Raphaelites. Oscar Wilde described him as

“a braggart in matters of vice, who had done everything he could to convince his fellow citizens of his homosexuality and bestiality without being in the slightest degree a homosexual or a bestialiser”

Sighted in the side streets of Northcote this afternoon. Still don’t know who is putting these up, but I am enjoying them very much! Loving the dymo label and stencil combo…

About Vetti

I love good coffee, street art, tiki bars and kitsch. Adore roller derby and quiffs and vintage Hawaiian shirts. Enjoy a slice of my northside life!
