This Provenance Food & Wine Co. degustation event was simply too tempting to miss! Six courses with a summer berry focus!
Sadly, the Edinburgh Gardens venue did not work out, so we dined on the faux lawns at Provenance. Our afternoon of summer berries began with warm ciabatta bread, strawberry infused olive oil, and raspberry salt.
Next, chicken and strawberry skewers with rocket salad,
followed by venison skewers with a blueberry sauce, on a bed of celeriac.
Desserts included summer pudding,
vanilla pannacotta with berry compote,
and blueberry tiramisu.
We drank a 2005 Point Leo Road Blanc de Noir (Methode Champenoise), which matched the plates perfectly! Our verdict? A charming and deliciously different Valentine’s Day experience.
