knitting pretty

This collage was inspired by the uber-mod stylings of knitting wool – Paton’s Turbo Spun Orlon in particular. I’m not sure why, but in 1959, Team Patons was responsible for some krazy product names… Beehive Silversheen, Nylette, Confetti Flecks, Patonyle, Bouclon Kemtweed, Lucelle, Swiftaknit, and Fuzzy Wuzzy (more scratchy than fuzzy, with 17% Sparkling Lurex).

Accessorised with a gorgeous (non-50s) Japanese wool called Eisaku Noro: the world of nature. If you like this collage, find it at Know Your Product.

About Vetti

I love good coffee, street art, tiki bars and kitsch. Adore roller derby and quiffs and vintage Hawaiian shirts. Enjoy a slice of my northside life!
