len lye

Experimental artist? Kinetic sculptor? Innovative film-maker? Happiness theorist? Len Lye was all of this – and so much more. The retrospective at ACMI is a vivid and in-depth celebration of Lye’s art and ideas. I spent hours viewing this show, and will definitely go again. On until October, this is the most amazing and thought provoking show ever! Go see!

Here’s my favourite (so hard to pick just one) film – Rainbow Dance. Tres delightful animation, with the hot sounds of Walter Leigh, and the moves of Rupert Doone. Why can’t all adverts be like this? A pot of gold at the end of the rainbow – for you, from 1936.

About Vetti

I love good coffee, street art, tiki bars and kitsch. Adore roller derby and quiffs and vintage Hawaiian shirts. Enjoy a slice of my northside life!
