coffee, tea, serendipity?

It’s like this, blogpals, I had chrysanthemum tea and toast. All very nice, especially as it was lovingly prepared por moi by Joffa. Did I want coffee at home? N-n-n-o-o-o…I’m restless, let’s wander aimlessly out of the house for a bit?

We went to Coffee Select – it’s been open for ages, but not at times I’m usually in Westgarth (sigh). Lots of nice things about this place – good brew, Stevie Wonder on the stereo, and a sweet collection of coffee makers on the high shelf. The house rules are pretty good too. My double shot latte came in one of those Bodum Pavina glasses, which is a big plus. My verdict? Nifty. I haven’t eaten there yet, but they have an all-day toast menu that looks pretty good. The idea of having a coffee micro-roaster round the corner is strangely reassuring…Visit them at 63 High Street, Fri-Sun only.

About Vetti

I love good coffee, street art, tiki bars and kitsch. Adore roller derby and quiffs and vintage Hawaiian shirts. Enjoy a slice of my northside life!
