This Island Earth is a slice of mid fifties science fiction/horror goodness. Slightly Thunderbird-looking aliens (AKA Metalunans), flying saucers, Faith Domergue…oh, and a bug eyed monster. Shot in eye-popping technicolour, this cheesy nuclear science-themed space opera is well worth watching, especially outdoors on a summer night. Look out for the interocitor, the quiff-protecting helmets and the alien chair. The Metalunan ship has some seriously cool decor. Not enough?
